Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis has seen his stock drop significantly this offseason. In addition to performing poorly at the Combine in Indianapolis, scouts are also beginning to understand the lack of maturity that Davis has shown over his three years at Rutgers. On Wednesday, Davis failed to show up to the team’s Pro Day workout and instead, his agent had to cover for him. Once a potential Top-5 pick, Anthony is digging himself a hole that could end up landing him in the mid-to-late first round, if not further.
- Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain revealed yeterday at the Crimson Tide’s Pro Day that he has had Crohn’s Disease since his freshman year of high school. Crohn’s Disease is an inflammatory disease of the intestines. From everything that I’ve gathered, this shouldn’t hurt him at the next level, and as a result, it also shouldn’t affect his draft stock.
- A number of Wonderlic scores at the quarterback position were recently released: Sam Bradford (36), Colt McCoy (25), Jimmy Clausen (23), and Tim Tebow (22). These numbers are a bit alarming for Clausen and Tebow; as quarterbacks, you’d like to see them score highly, as they are the ones who are going to be processing more information on the field than any other player will. When you consider that Tebow will need to adjust to a brand new offense or change positions, the score worries you even more. Bradford’s score strengthens his position to go within the Top 4 picks of the draft.
